The FUGE NARC platform

(For the FUGE NARC microarray services at NTNU, go here.)

The NTNU Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) group is host to the Norwegian Arabidopsis Research Centre (NARC). NARC is sponsored by the Norwegian Functional Genomics initiative (FUGE), and is one of ten national functional genomics platforms. NTNU CMB is responsible for the platform and collaborating partners are the University of Oslo (UiO) and The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB). Head of the platform is professor Atle M. Bones.

The aim of NARC is establishing a solid base for fundamental and applied plant science in Norway. The partners of the centre shall provide the basic technologies needed to utilize the powerful tools of functional genomics and thereby promote the quality of plant science in Norway. For more information see project home page.

Services at FUGE NARC

To make the best use of the resources and equipment available, the collaborating partners of the NARC platform offer a range of services to the Norwegian plant science community. UiO offers tools for In situ hybridisation and yeast two-hybrid analysis, while UMB offers tools for transformation of Arabidopsis. For more information on the services provided at UiO and UMB , see their respective home pages. At NTNU we offer the possibility to do transcriptional profiling using microarrays. Read more about the services at NTNU here.
